About

I am a Software Engineer at Sentry. My previous experiences include working as a Frontend Engineer at myClubs, being a Software Engineer at iteratec, teaching programming to children at various summer camps and working on different websites and applications (freelance and personal).

Besides coding, I enjoy learning languages, hiking and drawing. See what I am doing now.

Values

My values are the driving factor behind my actions.

I like ...

  • 😎 building things that people actually enjoy
  • 😎 refactoring
  • 😎 environmental sustainability
  • 😎 being pragmatic (the right amount)

Education

My diverse interests have contributed to my unique educational journey which spans from teaching through design and into software engineering.

Master

Master of Science (MSc.) in Software Engineering. This degree focused on all topics relevant to the creation of complex software applications. I gained more knowledge in requirements engineering, UX, software testing, software architecture, maintenance and project management. In my master thesis, I wrote about data ownership and interoperability of health data with a focus on menstrual tracking data. In 2023, I was honored the WeCanTech Award 2023 for outstanding achievements during my studies.

Bachelor

Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Media Technology and Design. This media informatics degree was a mixture of learning the basics of media design (3D design, animation, games) and learning the basics of programming (web, object-oriented, data structures and algorithms). The program had a strong focus on hands-on projects. In my 5th semester, two fellow students and I refactored and redesigned the activity page of the (now old) Runtastic website using Ember.js.

Secondary

I attended the College for Nursery Education (called "BAKIP" in Austria) in Steyr, where I was trained in pedagogy and didactics. By preparing, organizing and conducting various educational activities, I learned a lot about teaching, group dynamics and project management. I still benefit from the knowledge I gained during that time, as it is applicable in any field where people are involved.
